Press Release: Bolívar's Heart, A Riveting Historical Novel
 by Margaret Donnelly

Renowned author Margaret Donnelly, known for her captivating exploration of Latin American history and culture, has released her latest book, "Bolívar's Heart: A Historical Novel". The book promises to be a thrilling journey that combines historical facts and folklore, wrapped in a contemporary narrative that addresses current humanitarian, economic, and political issues.

Donnelly, who was born in Venezuela and moved to the United States at the age of fifteen, holds a doctorate of jurisprudence and a bachelor's degree in Latin American studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She is also the author of several other acclaimed titles, including "The Path of Lord Jaguar", "The Spirits of Venezuela" and "The Song of the Goldencocks". Her works have been recognized internationally, with "The Song of the Goldencocks" receiving an Honorable Mention at the 2007 International Latino Book Awards in New York. She was also awarded the Presidential Community Service medal by the League of United Latin American Citizens of the United States (LULAC) in 2006 for her community work.

"Bolívar's Heart" delves into the folk tales surrounding Simón Bolívar’s heart, which was allegedly separated from his body during an autopsy. These stories, though largely undocumented, have inspired millions in Venezuela, Colombia, Perú, Bolivia, and Ecuador—all of whom look to Bolívar as their “father and protector.”

The novel follows the story of Isabel Condorcanqui, a woman caught in the crosshairs of immigration issues, and her lawyers, Gloria García and David Levin. As they attempt to save Isabel from deportation, they uncover her connection to the Quechua version of what happened to Bolívar’s heart. The book makes a compelling case for global education and understanding, a cause close to Donnelly's heart.

Key Unique Elements of "Bolívar's Heart":
